At Terminal Ready-Mix, we own a slip-form concrete road paving machine that can construct single and double-lane roadway. We can replace one lane of traffic while maintaining the other when performing municipal road replacement projects. Or, we can construct both lanes simultaneously when constructing new residential subdivision roadways to save time and money.

We perform concrete road repairs using specialized saw-cutting, drilling and excavating equipment.

We’re also equipped to construct concrete parking lots and large industrial slabs, as well as more specialized work like parking garage deck overlays and marine pier caps.

Lafarge Marblehead Concrete Pier Deck
Lakeside, Ohio

issue:
Pier surrounded by water at active port needed new concrete deck.
Solution:
Utilize the largest concrete pump in the State of Ohio, another standard size concrete pump, and a barge to deliver concrete across 200’ of open water. Our coordination was key among owner, barge operator, pumping company and ready-mix operations to schedule construction during ideal lake conditions without impacting owner’s operations. The pumping company later said they were proud to be part of our innovative and exciting solution for this unique project. The owner was impressed with our ingenuity, project management and quality.

Residential Development and Boulevard

issue:
Land developer needed 80 residential lot subdivision and 0.75 mile boulevard constructed in a compressed schedule.
Solution:
Our GPS guided bulldozers made quick work of the fine grading in close coordination with the site contractor working only days ahead of us. Our slipform concrete road paving machine is capable of a range of road widths, so transitioning from a wide boulevard street to narrower residential streets was no problem. The three cul-de-sacs were poured using concrete pumping equipment to save time and complete the project ahead of deadline.

Municipal Road Replacement

issue:
Elementary school and residences needed project done quickly while minimizing access restrictions.
Solution:
Communication with school officials, residents, city engineer’s office, emergency services, utility companies and even the trash service provider was key while removing and replacing the concrete street in these two city blocks. We self-performed all aspects of the project including saw cutting, excavating, trucking, stone base, slipform concrete paving, drive aprons and walks, as well as lawn restoration.

Hotel parking garage deck concrete overlay

issue:
Renovation of historic hotel and parking garage required innovative solution.
Solution:
We developed a concrete mix and constructed a two-inch thick fibermesh reinforced concrete pavement overlay after the site contractor replaced various deteriorated precast concrete deck sections. Utilizing a concrete pump, we maximized concrete placement per pour to minimize the construction schedule and get the parking garage open to traffic for the hotel's grand re-opening.
